What's With The Comments?

I see it happening on some of the other blogs, but am I the only one that doesn't see a count on the number of comments on a particular post? Starting yesterday(?), I noticed that even though people are commenting, the comments stat section at the bottom of each post shows zero comments.

Yeah, it's a blogspot problem.

It also prevents you from seeing any main posts made after your last visit. You have to refresh, but I wonder how many people are just moving on assuming that there's nothing new.

Speaking of comments, how anonymous is an anonymous poster? I mean, can the poster's identity be traced back to the source.

The reason I ask is that on Buhne's August 10 post "Don't Knock It Till You've Tried It" it soundes to me like he's threatening to reveal the identities of posters he or someone else finds offensive.

Care to comment?

6:31 asks, "how anonymous is an anonymous poster?".

As I explained on Heraldo's blog, as far as I can tell they're completely anonymous. All I get in my inbox is an e-mail with whatever the comment is from "anonymous@blogspot.com" or something along that line. It doesn't even reference what post the comment refers to so sometimes it's hard to tell what they're talking about.
