Eureka Reporter Does Buhne

It's not even in the obituaries. The Eureka Reporter made mention this morning of the demise of the Buhne Tribune blog.

To quote: "
One of the big reasons for his blog’s popularity was the mystique that came with it, he said. Once a real name and person was attached to it, it just wasn’t the same.".

I guess I was pretty much right on when the Times- Standard quoted me in regards this. I suggested that much of the reason for his success was the mystery involved in who he was and whether he could continue that success after being outed was yet to be determined.

Well, I guess we know now.

All the Anonymous trolls posting slander and lies about me didn't help either.

They've shown up on Erics blog but he deletes their comments just like you do.

Thanks for maintaining such a clean blog. Buhne was too lenient with them.

Do you actually think you're fooling anybody, Barfo?

You've always routinely posted anonymous comments, and everybody knows it.

Creepy trolls like you are one of the main things that bummed Hurley out. You boasted about it yourself to somebody there, that you thought of the Buhne Tribune your private little playground.

And now that Buhne's gone you're like a diseased rat jumping ship. You'd like to turn Fred's blog and Eric's blog into your playgrounds too.

Yes- I quit reading because instead of serious discussion- people like NickBravo and his hating ilk turned everything into liberal-bashing
and diatribes about-gasp!- marijuana!
(Funny- never a word about alcohol or meth......?)

Its sad- a public forum (like this one!)could be a cool place to discuss, and even suggest solutions, but haters such as these only ruin it for everyone!

You guys (Nick) really need to get a life, and quit hating your fellow Americans because they smoke a little grass instead of drinking rotgut, and dont lick the boots of your, ahem...'leader'.

Our problems are a little deeper than that boys.

Interesting that Bravo did a youtube video of himself while high on something in the Arcata Plaza at around 4 a.m. He openly admitted he was high on something and he challenged viewers to guess what it was. He acted like he was drunk or high on speed while he jabbered on about what his favorite psychedelic drugs were.

Not long after that his "demonnick" youtube account was cancelled. But he blamed it on Charles Douglas. It's always someone else's fault.

Nick also takes some sort of psychotropic medication which interacts with alcohol. I've seen him slobbering on the floor from just one drink because of the antidepressants he is on.

Just remember folks all the latest mass murderers from Eric Klebold of Columbine to Ho of Virginia Tech were hooked on these socalled antidepressants which run a strong risk of making people snap into psychotic rampages.

Look...The fact that Buhne allowed the Bravo posts to stand, is part of the reason for the demise of the blog. I agree with Fred that the 'outing' resulted in the loss of the mystique. But, I don't know why blog hosts put up with the bravocorruption of their conversations.

Curiously, no one posts on Bravo's blog because it's a lot of self-serving, Narcissistic bullshit. So....he infects other discussions.

Please Fred. I enjoy your blog. There are good exchanges that don't often morph to this obsession on Bravo.

Fred, if you let it become a blog about Bravo...the quality of this conversation will be diminished. It happened with buhne. Take a vote of your posters. Let those who are interested go to his blog or youtube.

I for one am tired of hearing from or about this strangely troubled soul.

What I like about your blog is that it is a free exchange of ideas. Take the manipulators out of it...remove the Bravo posts.

All of 'em

No. No one posts on Bravo's blog because he moderates the comments to his blog even worse than I do. Never mind it being the "Bravo" blog.

I've tried to post a few things there before, but he just swallows the comments and then comments on them without showing the original comment he's responding to.

I really don't care. But, next time I clean up my bloglist on my blog, his will be one of those that are deleted. Nothing worth looking at there.

Oh: I'll also be deleting the "Nick Bravo" slam posts that keep popping up around this blogsphere. Like I'm gonna do right now.

This is exactly the place I intend to come for expert pyschiatric advice from now on.

Why pay a licensed psychiatrist when I can get free advice from Anonymous bloggers?

Of course, the Anonymous Psychiatric Advice might kill me.

So maybe I will stick with my psychiatrist after all.

I doubt Nick Bravo is the reason Buhne closed down - at least I hope not! I had no idea who Nick was before his name popped up on the blogs repeatedly. I finally *treated* myself to his YouTube videos, etc. and am still mystified as to why this person consumes so much space on all the local blogs. It is as absurd as he seems to be (no offense, Nick). I can't decide whether people take him seriously or not, but the bickering is boring and a waste of space overall. Sometimes Nick posts something that is on topic or at least makes sense but this usually just provokes a lot of drivel back and forth between a few people. Bottom line, all this serves to give him much more power than he warrants or (maybe??) even wants. I really, really hate to think he even contributed to the close of the BT, which I miss.

Visit Bravo's blog? I would rather be boiled in oil.

"Open and active." Funny. You post worthless drivel just to have something to post, and get nothing but comments from people who tell you what a jerk you are, which you encourage.

You seem to thrive on being hated. In fact you actually seek it. You always say things that are obviously calculated to make people dislike you.

You're a weird one, Burvo. Very weird.
