Sue "Never Say Die" Brandenburg

Can't we just drop this? Not if Sue Brandenburg has her way.

I think most everybody except Sue and a few from the Humboldt Taxpayer's League are getting a bit tired of this legal back and forth over the waterfront projects.

I've said before that I can see how some things that went on with Seaport Village and the Eureka Redevelopment Agency might have the appearance of impropriety but, from everything I've seen, I don't see that there's been any harm done.

I say drop it. Sue says NO!

I think it's wonderful. Lawsuits, hard as they are to finance, are the last defense against tyranny.

I don't know anything about the merits of the case, but I'm thankful such lawsuits can still be filed. Corporations have gone to great efforts to legislate away our last recourse for justice.

The taxpayers league sure gets more people to their meetings then your Libertarian Party. Heck, you guys are downright invisible, just like the Green Party with Cobb in power, nobody else shows up.

the greens are so scared of the public they dont even list when and where their nonattended meetings are

Luckily we have a system of judicial review for disputes, NOT bogus idiots like Fred deciding on the basis of personal prejudice and gossip at the rescue mission.

Then again it isn't luck at all, but patriotic citizens who love our democracy who established due process to protect liberty. And the nobrainer closet-tyrants like Fred are marginalized into nothingness. Unless Arkley and Dubya are allowed to have their way.

Uh yes, clearly Fred has prevented any other libs from congregating in the county, same with Cobb with the waterfront,Eureka, and county.Curious as to why Fred and David have to be the ones to lead.

It's ironic that 9:18 or 9-18, is a police code for a wacko (not a term of art.)

All those frivolous lawsuits, aimed at lining the pockets of attorneys are a strike against tyranny? yikes, if so what have we become?

These lawsuits are not filed by the common people, just those with a big checkbook. And those who will never admit that they were wrong.

The tedious largess of the wealthy trying to force their will on others who are not similarly endowed. It's a perverse method of scuttling an opponent, conceptually or otherwise to make a point and shall I say it.....garner some attention.

So Sue and Leo will get their 15 minutes of fame or more accurately, their 15 seconds of sound bite, and in the end, will have cost themselves and the community a bundle and will have accomplished nothing. A portrait painted by fools, of fools and for fools.

Pretty picture.

Ahh the price of self serving fame....tyranny nothwithstanding.

But then I guess everyone needs a cause even 9-18's

Who the hell is she and what is her agenda? She apparently owns a few rentals and that's all that's ever printed about her. The NCJ ought to be covering her instead of Oaxaca.

The Taxpayers League. I pay taxes. They don't represent me.

Ahh, 3:30 is so witty. He should start a new nonprofit, The Other Taxpayers League. Then I'll start my own, The Other Other Taxpayers League. Let's all be witty.
