I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. Meet Up has been around for many years. It was first used for political purposes for Dr. Howard Dean' grassroots effort to run for the 2004 presidential election. Greg and I hosted the Eureka meet-ups for Dean's campaign. When he lost his election bid, Dean for America became Democracy for America, a political action committee, and is now run by Howard's brother, Jim Dean.
Glad to see that Ron Paul is using Meet Up for his campaign.
