Ron Paul kicked ass on Fox debate tonight. If I was a Republican, he would be my man! He is speaking from the heart! Not the party!
Edwards man here until......I see I need to vote for Obama.
Like to see Paul make them all squirm. Fox post debate polls show Paul double the others. Now what will the established Reps do?
Ron Paul want to abolish the Federal Reserve Board for starters. That'll help!
Ron Paul acquitted himself well both in the "debate" and in the interview with the hard leftist Moyers. The text messaged response to the debate however (and unfortunately) was spammed by his supporters. The real winner however was Thompson who seems to have finally wised up and understood what his conservative supporters want to hear (too late?).
Shirley, do you realize that since the 1913 (Federal Reserve act) the US dollar has lost 97% of its purchasing power? Ron would definitely shake up the socialists in charge of Washington.
I respect Bill Moyers greatly as a journalist and was glad to see this interview, Fred. I like a lot of what Ron Paul says, but he doesn't say how he would implement his desired goals. Some of his remarks concern me regarding abolishing the Federal Reserve and the Department of Education. He states he has a transitional plan, but what is his transitional plan? I am afraid he is too much of an isolationist.
Ron Paul would strictly follow the Constitution as it was originally written and lawfully amended. In other words he would veto legislative acts that conflicted with that document instead of relying on the supreme court for such decisions e.g. Bush who signed the campaign finance law believing it to be unconstitutional but assuming the court would strike it down. Such vetos were routine prior to 1858.
Moyers is more of an advocate/activist than a true journalist. Similar to but more erudite than Keith Olberman. It is not surprising he would be "greatly respected" by a liberal/progressive.

Bill Moyers, a respected journalist, has also served as White House Press Secretary (1965-1967), a Baptist minister, and Assistant followed by Deputy Director of the Peace Corp (founded by California's Governor father-in-law, Sargent Shriver). One of his most respective projects was his interviews of the late Joseph Campbell in 1988, producing The Power of Myth.
In a 2003 interview with BuzzFlash.com,[13] Moyers said, "The corporate right and the political right declared class warfare on working people a quarter of a century ago and they've won." He noted that "The rich are getting richer, which arguably wouldn't matter if the rising tide lifted all boats." Instead, however, "The inequality gap is the widest it's been since 1929; the middle class is besieged and the working poor are barely keeping their heads above water." He added that as "the corporate and governing elites are helping themselves to the spoils of victory," access to political power has become "who gets what and who pays for it."
