Global Warming Stuff

I've found British media to be far more open minded about claims of global warming and/ or climate change as this article points out. The article doesn't refer to British media. I've just found pieces like that on global warming are found far and few between in the U.S. media. As the writer points out, the internet is the most open source of information on the issue nowadays.

And this just in to my inbox:

You can also view it on your computer by clicking here, if you have Real Player. Click on the Watch Now link on upper right of the page. I haven't watched it yet. Didn't have time this morning. That, and the speaker didn't exactly grab my attention in the first minute or two that I started watching it.

Global warming is real! The article you mention comes from the Telegraph, a conservative paper owned by the Barclay brothers. Exxon-Mobil isn't paying you money are they Fred? There is a good article on global warming on Wikipedia.

forest defender you are very weak dude. Who paid you to tree set? Who's paying for the radical law suits you so love? How'bout-it dude? Now let none of us be closed minded. Nothing is cut and dried, nothing is absolute, none of us have all the facts. Living a balanced life with less waiste and more compassion seems the best way to me. Global warming or cooling. Freds a good guy and you can be too. Just try to remember that.

Global Warming is Real, I tell you, Fred, REAL+!!!

Haven't you been paying attention??? Old Town and the rest of the low-lying coastal areas of our fair state (Cah-lee-foh-nee-yaa) are under water!!! They didn't used to be under water!!! You can't drive anywhere on Two Street anymore without you first disconnect your fan belt!!! Otherwise, you kick up so much sea water (from the melted biPolar ice caps) your engine gets drownded!!!

Honestly, Fred!!!

Why won't you jump up on our Global Warming Bandwagon???

110% of all scientists in the world are right up here with me!!! Come aboard!!! Join the Party!!! Fred??? Are you listening???

Looks like our next President is going to agree with me. John McCain in Oregon today proposed a cap-and-trade system and said "I will not accept the same dead-end of failed diplomacy that claimed Kyoto". Clinton and Obama both advocate a cap and trade system to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050.

Of course he's going to say that. He'll say what he needs to to get elected and he wants the lefty vote.

That said, I'll have to give McCain credit. I recently read where he was speaking to a bunch of people in Iowa- farmers, most of them. McCain told them he opposed ethanol subsidies.

Anyone interested in actual measured trends in climate can go here.

. Not that the warmistas will let factual data interfere with their insistence that more taxation/regulation is required.

I tell you, Global Warming is real. My friend and I were walking through the water that nowadays stands a foot deep in Old Town. He said to me, Thank God we wear these hip-waders on these walks of ours. I can't tell you how much I hate getting my socks wet with salt water.

You believe the news, forest defender?

Because λεονιδας has a great post up about an 80 mile skiing expedition to the North Pole designed to call attention to the effects of "global warming".. Why, the poor penguins...

Two posts actually - right up your alley...
This one first, then this one... the update
