EARTHQUAKE!
A 5.4, so they say.
The Santa Rosa Press- Democrat says at least one of our local dispatchers didn't feel it. I didn't feel it, either, and that's exactly when I got out of bed this morning.

WE felt it. The girls were getting ready to head out on the annual "Black Friday" expedition so we were awake. Surprising they're calling it 5.8, though.
I slept right through it. A 5.4 though that is a biggie. We've sure been having a slew of them.
I felt it. It had all the force of a big dog bumping into a table leg. It might have been a 5.4 where it originated, about 140 miles off the coast. But here? Not what I would consider a noteworthy quake.
I was out back with the puppies and thought about an earthquake, but did not feel that one.
There are suppose to be big waves today, but stay away from the beaches!
I went to out Centerville beach today to see the waves from the view site up at the ex-navel station. Not much different from other times I've looked but weird vibes in the air. Four highway patrol packed together on the Grizzly Bluff road almost blocking the whole road where you never see any cops, stopping to question I guess what looked like about four or five teenagers standing by by a cow pasture fence. At another place what looked obviously like a drug deal going down, a car pulls up next to another parked one and the trunk hood immediately springs open as I pass, more bikers on the road, even in Ferndale, but no tsunami rushing in as I drive away from Centerville beach.
Everytime I go to up to that old Naval spy station to the view spot there, I think what a waste of very solidly built buildings and grounds that could so easily be converted to some sort of educational or scientific institute, one studying seismic activity on our triple junction for example and really getting into the geologic ramifications of where we live at our own tectonic home plate.
