299 Opine: R.I.P?

As has been noted elsewhere, it looks like Ekovox might have rolled up his blog and shut it down. This is horrible. This is probably the biggest tragedy, ever, to strike the Humboldt blogosphere.

Why, Eko? Why?

Could it be a Blogger glitch? I get the same message on Raincrow's blog

I just hope that he had it backed up. His blog has been a real treasure to me, and I have come to think of him as a friend. He has done much for the blogosphere, including the bloggers picnic.

Something is wrong again...

If it was accidently deleted, I think that he only has a few days to retrieve it or it will be errased.

Raincrow is gone, too. He told me that it was too public. I really miss his posts and Ekovox even more because he'd been part of the blogosphere for longer.

Ernie, Eko really pulled out. I asked him.

I kinda feel like they died. Maybe instead of a picnic, we should have a blogger's funeral!

Whatever Eko's intention are, I will honor them and respect his decisions. I take the loss of his blog as a great personal loss.

Kym, thank you for asking him, I considered asking him myself, but I guess that feared that he would say, that he canned his blog and I just wouldn't know what to say.

His blog was a great inspiration to me. One of the things that I liked best about Eko's blog is he was never mean or hurtful like so many bloggers can be. I just hope that it wasn't something that one of us said or did, and I hope that we are all still friends.

Maybe he should have read this article: http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2009/02/16/can-blogging-make-you-happier/

Thank you, Bob, for that link. I feel much better about myself and my participation in this blogging activity.

What a bummer. I've been off line for sometime and was shocked to see my favorite blog gone. I hesitate to ask him why. If he tells me without my asking it will remain strictly between me and him. I'm sure his reason is good. Perhaps the spam requires too much attention.
