Rating California Cities' Fiscal Health

Don't get me wrong. I love Dan Walters' column. It would be nice, though, when he brings up Standard and Poor's fiscal scorecard for American cities, that he provide a link to the actual report itself. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know what rating their own city received. I've looked and even checked the Standard and Poor's web site. I can't find it.

Yes I agree. I hate these kind of articles with no link to more extensive info. Dan please post the report.

After thinking about it, it wouldn't surprise me if the report didn't cover smaller cities and towns. After all, that would take quite an effort to look into the fiscal business of every U.S. city, down to and including towns like Rio Dell.

Then again, I would think if a municipality used bonds for financing, those bonds would have to have some kind of rating. Wouldn't they?
