I'm a Libertarian living in Humboldt County, CA. I've lived here in Eureka since 1973 and joined the Libertarian Party in 1992. This blog will mostly focus on local political issues, but I may stray into state and national issues as well, when I can't help myself. I've brought up former Governor of New Mexico, Gary Johnson, here before. He's one presidential candidate I'll be enthused about supporting in 2112. The New Republic has a nice piece on him today and he's got a Facebook page you can Like.

I'll have to read up on him.
First, I need to know how he would create jobs and wealth for the average American. Second, how will he deal with China. Third Obamacare. Fourth, the national debt.
I know how he might answer
jobs/wealth: lower taxes, budget cuts
China: free trade with them and don't get on their backs over human rights or hoarding gold or the Yuan or whatever because that's their business and we need to handle our business.
Obamacare: He favors funding smalltime public health care like the subsidized country clinics we got in Humboldt but not paying for everybody to visit whatever doctor like Obamacare.
National debt: budget cuts
Dude supports equal rights too. I'd vote for him against anybody.
