Yeah. I'm not up on history enough to know what he's trying to say there. Maybe he's referring to ours being the non- muslim 30 years war?

Have the Republicans changed their stance, or are they still lobbying for a continued military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan?

I believe both Reps and Dems want a U.S. presence in the middle east of some sort. I'm of the mind that even embassies cause more trouble than they're worth. At least in countries that have a population fairly hostile to us.

"Henchman Of Justice" says,

Should have never been over there to begin with since violence is inevitable. 911 is said to have occured because of American foreign policies that meddle in the affairs of other nations. Maybe Americans will settle for another path nearer to neutrality so as to avoid financial collapse (about the only way to bring down the USA is through collapsing finances). - HOJ

Oil keeps us in the Middle East. Selling armaments for wars we start keeps us in the Middle East. Nationalize energy supplies and ban weapons of war. And nationalize our banks to be put under democratic oversight, not private bank oversight. Oh yeah, impeach the President and all members of Congress for breaking the Constitution's Separation of Church and State law of the land and for treason in acting as agents for a foreign nation, Israel. That should do it.
