Anti- GMO Activist Changes Mind

Wow! This is some turnaround for Mark Lynas. He's one of the fellows who started the anti- GMO movement a couple decades ago. He seems to have changed his mind and now thinks GMO foods can be beneficial to mankind. It will be interesting to see how viciously he's attacked over this by his former comrades.

Hat tip to Radley Balko of The Agitator for the link.

I love the cognitive disconnect. You trumpet this guy's reversal, a reversal he attributes entirely to science, but disregard other science when you don't like the discoveries. Fred, you are like the 1995 version of Mark Lynas. Ideology drives your viewpoints instead of evidence (e.g., climate change). You embrace to industry pseudo-science, which is just as bad as pseudo-science coming from environmental activists.

Boy, you sure cut me to the quick. OUCH!

Actually, I prefer to think of my science thoughts as based on common sense. Not hysteria, as yours seem to be.

"Henchman Of Justice" says,

GMO's may or may not be a benefit. The problem it seems is that GMO's is supposedly the power insiders' answer for world over-population impacts to the food supply rather than curbing reproduction that leads to higher populations. Of course, HOJ ain't into the "China affect", but not subsidizing parents is the way to curb parents' ability to procreate based upon subsidies that encourage irresponsible parenting to be.

Prior to becoming pregnant, how many women (age don't matter) base their pregnancy upon subsidies gained as opposed to paying 100% of the costs themselves as parents?

Answer = too many that cause society major problems! - HOJ
