Yahoo Mail Changes?

According to this news item Yahoo Mail changed as of Monday. If you don't upgrade to the new version, you'll eventually have to give up Yahoo Mail.

I don't see any change in my Yahoo Mail. Nor do I see any request to upgrade. Has anybody else's changed?

Funny that I switched to Gmail some time ago because of Yahoo's threats of an upgrade. Assuming it has been upgraded, I can't see any difference from the old version.

As of June 1, all Yahoo email users are required to upgrade to the company’s newest platform, which allows Yahoo to scan and analyze every email they write or receive. According to Yahoo’s help page, all users who make the transition agree to let the company perform “content scanning and analyzing of your communications content” to target ads, offer products, and perform “abuse protection.”

Heck, I figured they were already scanning e-mails for advertising type info.

The reason I went to gmail was Yahoo kept wanting me to try their new Yahoo Mail but said I had to change my screen resolution for "optimal performance". I didn't want to change resolution so switched to gmail.

After months of using gmail, I prefer Yahoo Mail and it doesn't look like they did anything in regards screen resolution, much less insist on switching to their new version anymore.

Not gonna switch all the way back though. I use both.

You probably don't have the new version. If you did you'd definitely know it. The new version STINKS. It's the worst email I've ever used. Simply the worst. I have an AT&T account, but I really liked the old Yahoo Classic. Now I'm seriously thinking about changing my e-mail address to @att.net. I mean the new version is the PITTS!!! Why, Yahoo, why????
