50% of Mendocino County in Pot Business

So says the head of Mendocino County's major crimes task force, according to the Santa Rosa Press- Democrat. He suggests the percentage might be even higher in Humboldt County.

That certainly seems a bit over the top. I'm wondering if it's more of a misstatement? He might be referring to the people benefiting from pot income, which would include every day businesses that sell to growers. Like a car dealer, for instance, that sells a car to a pot grower that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford one.

Most agree the pot does benefit local economies to some extent.

Outlaw tobacco and soda pop.
Then outlaw Christianity, hell outlaw all religions.

In fact, we are using too much air. Citizens should be allowed only 120 breaths a day.

Or social security Not knocking anybody on Social Security this is money you pay for out of your paycheck your entire life the same cannot be said about welfare

I think pot is the new timber here. And in fact, I think pot is the primary political force in Humboldt County. It's sure getting its way with the General Plan.

Not even saying that's a bad thing - it's an industry much like any other. Doesn't want to be taxed. Doesn't want to be regulated.
