The Hero Cat

Neat video here of a cat that defends a child from a vicious dog. Quite remarkable.

Ooops! Maybe it's not working anymore. I just tried it and it says the video is private. Worked fine last night.

Here's a TV station copy of the video: http://www.turnto23.com/news/local-news/amazing-video-cat-saves-boy-from-dog-attack-in-southwest-bakersfield-051414

Thanks. The other one worked fine last night. I watched it two or three times with no problem.

Quite the cat. Right up there with my feline cuz, Lewis the attack cat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_%28cat%29

But hold on, I say there now, Freddy cat, just how come there seem to be cameras at different spots catching the "spontaneous" action?

I thought that was rather odd myself. But, I'm guessing it was two surveillance cameras and the video was edited and the videos joined together to make just one clip.

As most everyone who knows me knows, I am an animal person, someone who gets along well with animals--usually. Well, when I was around 12 or so I was attacked by a cat-sort of..It was strange because I knew the cat, my friend's housecat and we got along fine. But one day I was coming to visit and this cat just came along and jumped from the ground to my face, hit it with its paws, no claws out, like a touch, or Native American coupe touch, and that was it. Went on its way as if nothing had happened. Never had that happen in all the cat dealings I've had. Now I got this raven who's getting bolder and hitting my head with its wings to remind me that it's there when I go on my walks and carry food scraps and Dollar Store figbar pieces for ravens which they love more than meat. It sometimes looks like a scene out of The Birds when a bunch of them are waiting patiently for these tidbit treats. I can tell them to shut up when they squawk to loud and they do it. It's neat. I've been feeding Rio Dell ravens for a couple of years and I can call a flock of ravens out of the sky now in Rio Dell. Elijah was fed by ravens and I feed ravens in gratitude for their work in keeping Rio Dell clean, picking up every scrap of food that would otherwise attract less desirable critters. I feed baby carrots and low salt fat Dollar Store sour dough pretzels to two goats, sometimes Raja the horse with the funny mouth, and always Justin, who trots, prances to get meet me, and makes my walks so enjoyable. I love Rio Dell. It's really a nice place to live.

I can see it now when I run for Governor with a most workable way to fix the State budget and get tons of money back into the infrastructure of communities suffering from years of financial deprivation: Expanding the State Lottery System so that ALL California taxes are paid through Lottery sales. I believe in lotteries as a great way to get people to pay their Necessary Taxes needed to run the State well. When you add an incentive to paying your taxes with a chance to win a big fat prize, well, it changes everything about taxation. We've not begun to utilize lotteries for taxation purposes. Then there' Legal Marijuana taxation income too. Yes, Californians. Vote for the Bird Man of Rio Dell. He's for the birds!

What other candidate can call a flock of wild birds out of the sky with just a gesture of his arm? Then there's the Sword of Peace the Governortorial candidate established in the Holy Land over a decade ago under the Keepership of Nazareth's top Catholic priest who loved the Pope and now we have Francis! I mean these obviously Signs of political acumen beyond the common candidate for high office, and we do mean high at various times in the day or night. Ah, Humboldt County, our home on the d-range..
