Leonardo's Sandwich Sale

I was told at Winco's Leonardo's Pizza today they have a special on their Grinder sandwiches. Two 12" sandwiches for $11.00.  What a deal! The girl told me she thought the deal was good until October. Yum, yum, but please don't go in there between 10am and noon on Sundays. That's when I get mine each week. I don't want you all standing in line ahead of me.

And tell them The Freddy sent you.

How are they? Better than Subway? Lately the only sandwiches I buy out are Hole-in-the-Wall.

I think they're far better than Subway, or even Quizno's. They have four different ones. I don't know the other three off the top of my head but I always get the Philli with beef and the "white sauce". You can also get it with chicken and I assume some other sauce.

Sometimes they charge an extra dollar to heat them there for you.I don't believe they've been charging me lately but I go in there every week so I'm a regular. The reason I'm not sure about the charge is I order my sandwich(es), then go buy a few things in the store and pay for everything at checkout. They give you a slip of paper to show the checker so she can add it to whatever else you buy. I never really pay attention to the receipt but you do need to keep it to show the girls at Leonardo's you paid for it.

Mmmm...mmm...mmm, and the girl who used to work at Provident Credit Union, whose name escapes me right now, agrees with me.

Just checked my receipt for the two grinders I bought today. It was $13.96 for two, almost $3.00 more than the supposed $11.00. It doesn't say on the receipt, but I'll assume that includes a dollar each for cooking. Either that, or the deal hasn't been entered into the computer yet. I believe that's still cheaper than normal. Be sure and ask.

Ooops! Sitting here this morning I noticed another Winco receipt on the table and it's the one from yesterday. I guess I read the wrong one when I gave the price. This one says $12.00 for the two sandwiches. No mention of why. I thought they said $11.00, but maybe they charged 50 cents for cooking?

Great. If you think they're great, as I do, give them a good write up and me all the credit!
