LIbertarian Party Makes Biggest Registration Gains

I suppose itt should be good news for me that the Libertarian Party is gaining the most voter registrations nationwide, at least according to this Truth In Media article:

"In fact, recent data shows that the it’s becoming the fastest growing party in the United States."

That's hard to believe, although I've never understood why more people aren't registered to vote with the LP as registration doesn't cost anything.

Does this mean the country is moving more in a libertarian direction? I doubt it, despite recent polls saying more and more people think the government is more of  problem than a help.

I tend to think the country is becoming more authoritarian, especially when you look at the front runners in the presidential election- Clinton and Trump- who tend to be authoritarian. And it seems most people support them all the way, although much of that support is based on partisan loyalty.

I suppose living in California, an authoritarian state, would make it easy to feel that way.

If any of you would like to register to vote as a libertarian, you can do it here at the Secretary of State's web site. Costs nothing and you'll feel better about yourself.

Go Libertarians! Thanks for the update Fred.
As it stands now, it's Authortians vs Totalitarians, both are completely null & void to the constitution.

I trust Gary Johnson to cut the fat & restore the economy. He succeeded in NM without deleting jobs. A remarkable feat!
I'm now following McAfee, who is amazing me every day with his insights, experiences, constitutional respect, and more. He's true blood, one to seriously consider.

Unfortunately, it takes thousands upon thousands of petioners and dollars to get onto the Calif ballot. Libertarians have some petitioning to do!!

Could it be, just maybe, that what we have here is more republican malcontents leaving their party because of present embarrassing rep primary?

Wasn't that the main reason for libertarian/tea party surge in 2008- repubs trying to distance themselves from the Bush era?

Irony here is that that 2008 tea party/ libertarians surge (with its attachments still with republican party) created this embarrassment in the first place.

Most people are libertarian, but unfortunately get caught up in the least of two evils. It's terrifying to think of the "other" party winning, but in all honesty, both parties are evil. Hopefully this will be the year everyone awakens and votes for Liberty from both evils.

As LP gubernatorial hopeful, Gary Johnson recently pointed out, it's the voting for lesser of two evils that gave us the government we have today.
