State Employee Walkout Looms, Dec. 5

The Times- Standard reports unionized state employees up here are planning a job walkout on December 5. This, in an attempt to influence ongoing wage negotiations. Well, goody for them but I doubt the vast majority of us will notice or care.

I make minimum wage with the state, and have 3 jobs. I could use better wages.

Good for you, but you should try and apply for a job that pays more. The state has plenty of them.

Wondering if a job walk off over something being negotiated by a rep constitutes an easier firing?

If so, let em all walk, eliminate positions, rehire non union only!

No two people are equal, not even in America.....so paying people equally is preposterous.....Pay should be based only upon labor results evaluated.

The starting pay at a base level isn't so much the problem as pensions, perks, kickbacks, pay to play schemes, etc.....and that across the board, too many public employees are treated as equals when they are not acting, producing results as equals......

Gubbamint grows itself like a military preparing to wage war.....it needs troop support.

Civil War 2 - Gubbamint supporters versus anti gubbamint types like HOJ and many more.

Nothing worse than backstabbing Nationalists.
