New Zealand Earthquake Pictures
Earth/ Sky News has some pictures of the effects of last month's (Nov. 13) earthquake there. The quake apparently added land to the island. I'm a bit underwhelmed with the first two pictures as it's hard to really tell how the shoreline changed, but the third one showing how the land heaved upwards is pretty impressive. Probably pretty creepy living there now with a visible reminder of what an earthquake can do.

i find those subjection zones interesting . love how mother earth changes things , adds or takes away
im always looking for that stuff when walking near shear cliffs and looking how the layers are on the cliff side
just think , 100,000 years ago what the coastline was like and where was it . not eureka but prolly inland by YREKA
upheaval happens lots , some places in alaska in 64 raised 20 feet or more , some dropped

and all the solid land plates of the earth are constantly moving. up , down sideways . new replaces old and replaced again by new
