Backyard Bird Count

Earth/ Sky News tells us today (Feb 17- 20) begins the Backyard Bird Count where you watch the birds in your back yard, identify what kind and how many. Then open a free account on this page and enter your figures. I opened an account but found the count form confusing. Maybe you can do better?

Too many to count except for the one hawk that swoops in and snangs one for breakfast.

Quail, blue scrubs, robins, finches, doves, snowbirds, woodpeckers, hawks, and those dam crows. The little birds disappear when the crows are here.
Frogs galore singing their songs. Ever try to sneak up on them to video or photograph them? Instant quiet. Instantly hidden. Maybe a good sound device could mark, separate, and count them, but a sneaky foot is a no go. Something tells me sneaky feet is how the environmentalists count their endangered species. The world is ending with only 2 frogs identified.
The ocean is warming from "climate change" they say. Anybody
With a brain knows you can't heat a bathtub of icy cold water with a room full of heaters. Undersea volcanoes and fukishima spills can however. But it's difficult, if not impossible, to
Tax volcanos at this time.
Speaking of taxes, over 25 states are trying to sin tax vapor products over 90%. Help casaa.org fight the insanity. Not only are states trying to double the costs of quitting smoking, many states are rolling back their smoking bans and handing the decisions back to the business owners. Quite a transparent event happening before our very eyes. Don't you love it when the nannys jobs are threatened? I do!

This post is about the bird count. Ignorant,
nature-despising political rants belong elsewhere. Get yourself some help. And then maybe read a book. A real one. On SCIENCE.

Lyrics

Backyard Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Backyard Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.

Backyard Blackbird fly Backyard Blackbird fly

Into the light of the dark black night.

Backyard Blackbird fly Backyard Blackbird fly

Into the light of the dark black night.

Baclyard Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
