Lots Of Snow In The Sierra

The Sacramento Bee reports the good news that current snowpack in the Sierra Nevada is at 153% of normal. This will be great if it sticks around for summer and doesn't start melting early. Rainfall has also been above average, filling reservoirs, but I'm sure most has just gone down the rivers out to sea. We need more storage capability.

Rather than new dams and reservoirs, the state of Ca needs to expand the "create more ground water" idea. Flooding fields, so that the water can trickle down into the water table. Maybe even putting in some holes to directly inject that water down into the ground for later pumping. One wild idea that I read about was creating said underground water storage. Using soil layering to build artificial "water tables" below the farms themselves. Once upon a time huge portions of the central valley were marshes and swamps. Perhaps we need to bring some of those back.

That is idiotic, the wayer table flows into waterways, still wasting water and creating new impacts from greater energy uses.

Also, the central valley is uplifting, not sinking. It used to be Ocean.

California was 2 major Baha Calfornia's.

At some point, like 2012, it uplifts and breaks apart.
